State College, PA – The USA Surf Fishing Team is pleased to announce the addition of renowned surf fishing guide Wesley Brough and past medal-winner Saul Osorto to the roster for the 2024 Pan-American Surfcasting Championships, to be held in Costa Rica over October 19-20.

Based in Cabo San Lucas, Wesley Brough has earned a reputation as one of the most skilled surf fishing guides on the West Coast. With two decades of hands-on experience, Wesley’s ability to target a wide range of species from shore — from roosterfish and snook to jacks and snapper — has set him apart as a leader in the surf fishing community.

Saul Osorto was a member of the silver medal-winning team from 2021 and also brings a wealth of experience to the team from his Texas base.

USA Surf Fishing Team President Ben Hervey-Murray said: “Wesley’s unique professional expertise and experience of shore-based saltwater fishing makes him a great addition to an already-strong team. Similarly, Saul has already proven himself on the tournament stage and we are grateful for his presence.”

The Pan-American Surfcasting Championships will take place over 19-20 October 2024, attracting top anglers from across North, Central, and South America. Wesley and Saul’s deep knowledge of shore-based fishing techniques, combined with their enthusiasm for the sport, promise to be an valuable asset to the USA team.
