17TH PREDATOR FISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The 17th World Championship of Predator Boat Fishing with Lures will be held on Lake Tisza in Hungary — a unique, 127 km² man-made reservoir known for its vast wetlands, winding channels, submerged timber, and biologically rich backwaters. Created by the Tisza River, the lake is celebrated for its healthy populations of zander, pike, and perch, offering a dynamic and technically challenging venue for international predator anglers.
As in previous years, each nation will field two boats, with two anglers per boat, competing over three consecutive days. Any qualifying zander, pike, or perch exceeding minimum length requirements will count toward each team’s daily score. Teams may focus on whichever species they believe offer the strongest competitive advantage — there is no requirement to catch all three. At the end of each day, rankings translate into “penalties,” with the top-scoring country receiving the fewest. After three days, the team with the lowest cumulative penalties will be crowned World Champion.
