USA Ice Fishing Team Announces 2025 Qualifier Schedule

USA Ice Fishing has released the official dates for the 2025 Team USA Ice Fishing Qualifier Series. All events will follow individually scored, international-style competition formats adapted as required by state and local regulations.

Scoring is individual only, and a top finish at any qualifier will earn competitors an invitation to the National Championship, which is invite-only. The National Championship will determine the final selections for the 2025 Team USA Ice Fishing roster.

Current Team USA members are already qualified and do not need to participate in qualifiers to receive their championship invitation.

In addition, each qualifier and the National Championship will feature a youth event or youth-focused activity, designed to introduce kids to competitive ice fishing in a fun, safe, and educational format.

2025 QUALIFIER SCHEDULE

  • Olney, Montana — January 16-18, 2025
  • Grand Rapids, Michigan — January 30–February 1, 2025
  • Naytahwaush, Minnesota — February 6–8, 2025

Each location will also host a kids event, offering youth the opportunity to participate, learn gear basics, and experience a competitive-style atmosphere.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (INVITE ONLY)

  • Lakeview, Michigan — February 26–March 1, 2025

Invited anglers—including top performers from the qualifiers and all current Team USA athletes—will compete for roster placement at the USA Ice Fishing National Championship. A kids event will also be held during championship week, continuing the effort to grow youth participation in the sport.
