This accomplishment reflects your dedication, preparation, and performance. You now join a distinguished group of athletes who have earned the privilege of representing the United States through USAngling Saltwater Kayak Fishing.

The USAngling Pathway

The USAngling Saltwater Kayak Fishing Regional Qualifier Series provides a fair and performance-based pathway for athletes across the country.

Top performers from Regional Qualifier events advance to the USAngling Saltwater Kayak Fishing National Championship, where the Top 10 athletes earn USA National Team status.

For each international competition, the USA National Team coaching staff and captains select the athletes who will represent the United States. Selections are made from the current USA National Team athletes and from eligible USA National Team Alumni. Every international roster is selected with 2 objectives: to field the team most capable of representing the United States with honor and a team with the best chance for winning gold medals.

Team USA Alumni

Once an athlete earns the USA National Team status, they become part of the USA National Team Alumni program.

The USA National Team Alumni remain an important part of our program and continue to be eligible for future Team USA selections. As a benefit of Alumni status, they also receive an automatic invitation to future USAngling Saltwater Kayak Fishing National Championships, eliminating the need to requalify through a Regional Qualifier.
