USAngling in partnership with Joe Hector and Extreme Kayak Fishing’s Summer Slam 2 Tournament is pleased to announce the 2nd World Cup Trial to be held August 17th at Pompano Beach Florida. This is an officially sanctioned event through the governing body of sport fishing in the USA with the goal of achieving Olympic competition. The winner of the Summer Slam 2 Tournament will receive a direct invite to the 1st ever World Cup of Saltwater Kayak Fishing in Valencia Spain October 26-31 and become an Official Team Member of USAngling Kayak Fishing Saltwater.

The Summer Slam 2 Tournament is a rare opportunity for anglers to earn an invite straight to into the World Cup of Saltwater Kayak Fishing. Moving forward anglers will have to win a Regional Trial to then be selected to our National Championship. From there, athletes will have to further earn a position onto our National Team and to represent the USA at future Pan American Championships and World Cups. So this is a very unique, once in a life time opportunity, to go straight from a Regional Trial directly to the National Team and a World Cup. Anglers start you paddles and sharpen you hooks August 17th is quickly approaching.
