Depoe Bay, Oregon – July 26, 2025 – The highly anticipated Oregon Rockfish Classic (ORC) returns to Depoe Bay on Saturday, July 26, 2025, promising a day of thrilling kayak fishing, coastal camaraderie, and meaningful community impact.

Hosted at Chinook Bend RV Resort, with anglers launching from Depoe Bay’s iconic boat ramp (258 Oregon Coast Hwy), the ORC draws top kayak anglers from across the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. The tournament blends competitive spirit with a charitable cause—all participants must be 18 years or older as outlined in the official registration guidelines (oregonrockfishclassic.com).

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

USA Kayak Fishing Team Qualifier

The ORC is an official regional qualifier for the USA Saltwater Kayak Fishing Team. The top 10 anglers will earn invitations to the National Championship in Florida (2025 or 2026).

Path to the World Stage:

From the Nationals, the top 4 finishers will be invited to represent Team USA at the 2026 Pan American Championship and the 2026 World Championship. Those placing 5th–8th will receive invites to the Pan American Championship only. With limited slots and international implications, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Supporting Neighbors for Kids

A Portion of each $75 registration fee and all merchandise sales will directly benefit Neighbors for Kids, a local nonprofit that provides vital youth enrichment programs.

Prime Tournament Basecamp

The Chinook Bend RV Resort serves as the tournament headquarters. With limited space available, early reservations are encouraged. The Depoe Bay launch ramp is conveniently located a few minutes away from the resort.

Angler Eligibility & Categories

Participants must be 18 years or older by July 26, 2025. The tournament welcomes all skill levels, from novice to seasoned pros. Full rules, including safety guidelines, are available online (ORC Rules).
