Michael Brand serves as Vice President-Treasurer of the Board of Directors for USAngling, bringing more than 30 years of executive leadership in finance, governance, and nonprofit service. A Certified Public Accountant, he has built a career centered on stewardship, accountability, and long-term organizational sustainability.

Professionally, Michael is the Corporate Controller of a privately held apparel manufacturer, where he oversees financial reporting, treasury, strategic planning, and operational risk management as a member of the executive leadership team. His background spans private equity, specialty finance, retail, consulting, and banking, with extensive experience supporting boards through growth and complex financial decisions.

An Eagle Scout and nationally recognized conservation leader, Michael has dedicated decades to youth development, outdoor education, and environmental stewardship. He is a recipient of Scouting America’s Distinguished Conservationist Award.

At USAngling, Michael has served as Treasurer, Vice President, Youth Program Chair, and Risk Management Chair, advancing ethical competition, responsible angling, and sound governance. Outside his formal roles, he enjoys time with family, mentoring youth, and teaching conservation and angling in the outdoors.
