SCOTT MIKLOS

HIGH SCHOOL: Carl Sandburg High School
GRADE: Senior
BEST FINISH: My best tournament finish would have to be winning on the southern end of Lake Michigan competing with some really amazing anglers.

FAVORITE ATHLETE: Seth Feider would have to be my favorite athlete. I take a lot inspiration from his style of fishing and his ability to win tournaments at the top level of fishing.

HERO: My dad is my hero. If it wasn’t for my dad, I would not be involved in this sport like I am today. My dad has spent countless hours showing me the ropes and passing his fishing knowledge on to me. My dad was also my first tournament partner when I was 6 years old, and we have been partners ever since. I am grateful he encouraged my passion and if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have found the love for competitive fishing that I have now.

Fishing has taught me to never give up because things can change in a second and this has related to my everyday life. It has also taught me discipline and the importance to be prepared. I struggle with ADHD but when I am out on the water my mind clears and I can fully concentrate and channel my energy into fishing. I have met so many amazing people and have had the opportunity to travel and fish some great fisheries.
