Our Second and equally talented Coach, Mihai Acui, is a name most US Anglers are familiar with but here on the carp team, we just call him Mickey so he doesn’t get a big head. With years of both US and European tournaments under his belt, and a proven track record of being on the podium with fellow Coach Bogdan time and time again, they must be doing something right. “is a way of life”, Mihai brought that type of love for carp fishing with him when he naturalized to USA many years ago. Frequenting any and all bodies of water searching for his beloved sports fish is where you could and still do find him in his spare time. If you have ever met Mihai, you would know his gift to “gab” is stronger than spider silk and he will have you trading in your favorite bass rods for “carp gear” before you know it. Mihai loves to teach, to share his vast knowledge of anything carp and promote the sport in any way possible and he with fellow coach Bogdan have spent countless hours teaching, training, and grooming some of the strongest carp anglers in the US tournament scene. With an extremely critical and technical way of thinking and undeniable set of carp catching skills, it’s no wonder he is a coach for the US team.
