Green Bay, Wisconsin — October 26, 2025 — The IV Street Fishing World Championship, hosted in the heart of Green Bay, concluded with resounding success—highlighted by the inspiring Youth Angler Education Adventure, a cornerstone of USAngling’s commitment to education, conservation, and community engagement.
Supported by passionate volunteers and USAngling Education Partners—Scouting America, Learn 2 Fish With Us, and Bay Beach Wildlife Refuge— the Youth Angler Education Adventure offered young participants a hands-on introduction to fishing safety, environmental stewardship, terminal tackle, and knot-tying, while giving them the opportunity to catch a memory that will last a lifetime.
The event reflected the global mission of the Confédération Internationale de la Pêche Sportive (CIPS) and FIPSed (Fédération Internationale de la Pêche Sportive en Eau Douce) by connecting local youth initiatives to the international sport fishing community. Participants and organizers alike celebrated shared values of conservation, ethical angling, and global friendship that unite anglers across nations.
“The success of the Youth Angler Education Adventure demonstrates what can happen when international sport fishing organizations and local education partners work together,” said Michael R. Brand, Vice President of USAngling and Youth Programs Chair. “Seeing youth from the Greater Green Bay area engage with conservation, safety, and sportsmanship at this level is inspiring—it’s how we build the next generation of responsible anglers and environmental stewards.”
