USAngling Supports Adventure Summit 25, Inspiring Youth Through Angler Education

USAngling proudly supported Adventure Summit 25, an extraordinary event organized by the Greater St. Louis Area Scouting.  Adventure Summit was open to Scouts of all ages, Venturers, Explorers, and the general public. More than 2,500 participants enjoyed a day of epic adventure and outdoor exploration.

USAngling’s role in the Summit centered on delivering impactful Angler Education Programs, which provide youth and families with hands-on experiences that foster a lifelong love for fishing and conservation. USAngling Vice President Michael Brand served as Program Director, leading a dedicated team that included his wife, Sheri Hogland Brand, and seven members of The Fly Fishers at The Crossing, a respected St. Louis-based fly fishing community.

Throughout the day, the USAngling team taught participants how to safely cast fly rods and spin-cast rods, tie essential fishing knots, understand conservation principles, navigate fishing rules and regulations, and embrace outdoor ethics promoting responsible recreation and environmental stewardship.

“It was a long day—but incredibly rewarding to see so many young faces light up with excitement and curiosity,” said Michael Brand. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who dedicated their time, energy, and passion to inspire the next generation of anglers and outdoor stewards.”

USAngling remains committed to fostering youth engagement in angling and promoting conservation practices that protect our natural resources for future generations. The organization looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the Scouting community and expanding opportunities for youth education and outdoor leadership.
