Depoe Bay, Oregon – USAngling Saltwater Kayak Fishing is proud to announce the 2026 Oregon Regional Qualifier, hosted in conjunction with the Oregon Rockfish Classic on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in beautiful Depoe Bay, Oregon.

One of the premier saltwater kayak fishing tournaments in the Pacific Northwest, the Oregon Rockfish Classic brings together anglers of all skill levels for a day of exciting competition while supporting an outstanding local cause. Following event expenses, tournament proceeds benefit Neighbors for Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational programs, meals, and enrichment opportunities for children and families throughout Lincoln County.

The Oregon Regional Qualifier will attract many of the Pacific Northwest’s top kayak anglers, along with competitors traveling from Northern California and surrounding states to compete for an opportunity to represent their region on the national stage.

The top ten finishing anglers will earn invitations to compete at the 2026 or 2027 USAngling Saltwater Kayak Fishing National Championship (angler’s choice), where they will join the nation’s best kayak anglers in pursuit of a place on Team USA.

Chinook Bend RV Resort will once again serve as tournament headquarters, providing a convenient home base for anglers and their families throughout the event weekend. Competitors are encouraged to reserve accommodations early, as availability is expected to fill quickly.

With spectacular scenery, outstanding Pacific Northwest fishing, and one of the sport’s most welcoming tournament communities, the Oregon Regional Qualifier promises to be another outstanding stop on the 2026 USAngling Regional Qualifier Series.

The top athletes from the National Championship will earn the opportunity to represent the United States in international competition as members of Team USA Saltwater Kayak Fishing, competing against the world’s best kayak anglers.
