HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (October 2, 2026) — The United States maintained its lead after Day 2 of the 20th Black Bass World Championship on Lake Hamilton, with all three USA BASS pairs holding the top 3 positions overall.

In the country standings, the United States leads with 14 points, followed by South Africa with 75 points and Australia with 110.5 points. Standings are determined by accumulated placement points, with lower totals ranking higher.

Ott DeFoe and Drew Gill lead the pairs standings with 3 points and a two-day total of 33.58 pounds. Their Day 2 catch of 17.22 pounds was the heaviest of the second day, which also included the day’s biggest single bass at 5.07 pounds.

Scott Martin and Dakota Ebare sit in 2nd with four points and 33.71 pounds across two days, including 13.65 pounds on Day 2. Although their cumulative weight is slightly higher, the placement-based scoring system puts them behind DeFoe and Gill.

Kevin VanDam and Dustin Connell hold 3rd with seven points and a two-day total of 29.72 pounds, adding 13.47 pounds during the second day.
