2023 PAN AMERICAN BASS CHAMPIONSHIP

The United States Angling Confederation and Visit Hot Springs will host the 2023 Pan American Bass World Championship in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Lake Hamilton. Lake Hamilton is a wonderful lake in central Arkansas on the southern edge of Hot Springs. This beautiful lake spans just under 8,000 surface acres.  Lake Hamilton is one of Arkansas’ most productive fisheries and has more fish per acre than any other lakes in Arkansas.

Competing Nations:
USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador, South Africa, Philippines, and Puerto Rico.

Lake Hamilton is a wonderful lake in central Arkansas on the southern edge of Hot Springs. This beautiful lake spans just under 8,000 surface acres.  Lake Hamilton is one of Arkansas’ most productive fisheries and has more fish per acre than any other lakes in Arkansas. 

The shores of Lake Hamilton are indeed bustling with activity. It is filled with numerous residential and commercial establishments that will is sure to keep tourists busy during their vacation.

Among all the commercial and residential properties that fill Lake Hamilton’s shores are various marinas that make its water accessible. These marinas abound with shops that especially cater to anglers and fishing enthusiasts due to the lake’s abundance of fish. Lake Hamilton is one of Arkansas’ most productive fisheries and has more fish per acre than any other lakes in Arkansas. It largemouth bass, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, spotted bass, white bass, trout, white crappie, black crappie, bream, channel catfish, blue catfish, and yellow bass. The Andrew Hulsey Fish Hatchery keeps the lake well-stocked with walleye, hybrids, and stripers. Additionally, homes located on the shore offer bass-holding docks that offer year-round fishing experiences for those who would like to go fishing.

ANDREW HULSEY FISH HATCHERY

Andrew H. Hulsey State Fish Hatchery is on the south side of Lake Hamilton in Garland County. It covers 134 acres in the southern edge of the scenic Ouachita Mountains, one mile north of Arkansas Highway 290 and 12 miles south of Hot Springs. It is the second-largest of four warm-water fish hatcheries owned and operated by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. 

WEIGH-IN

There will be staging and a weigh-in station at Andrew H. Hulsey State Fish Hatchery for the championship. We invite everyone to join us for the weigh-ins and meet the intentional anglers and learn more about USAngling.

BOAT CAPTAIN SIGN-UP

We need volunteer Boat Captains with their own boats to join an international team for three (3) days on Lake Hamilton. You will be driving your boat with two (2) anglers from take-off to check-in each day. Learn more here.
