State College, PA – February 22, 2025: Team USA Kayak Saltwater Fishing is proud to announce its participation in the 2nd Pan American Championship Saltwater Kayak Mexico 2025, to be held in La Paz, Baja California Sur, from March 7-9, 2025. Following a historic gold medal win at the inaugural Pan American Championship in Costa Rica last year, Team USA is eager to defend its title and continue its streak as reigning champions.

This year, yellowtail will be one of the primary target species, along with other exciting catches like snapper, roosterfish, dorado, and marlin. The event will follow a strict catch, video, and release format, ensuring sustainable fishing practices in the beautiful waters of the Sea of Cortez. Known as a premier fishing destination, La Paz offers unique conditions where anglers can encounter both inshore and pelagic species just miles from shore.

The competition will bring together some of the top kayak anglers from USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guam, and more. Medals will be awarded to both individuals and teams, with points accumulated over two days of fishing.The tournament schedule includes an opening night dinner ceremony, daily fishing starting at Coyote Beach, and a closing awards dinner at the Araiza Palmira Hotel.
