Lindsay Szofran’s deep expertise and unwavering passion for fly fishing have secured her a place on the United States Women’s Fly Fishing Team since its inception. She has proudly represented the U.S. in every Women’s World Fly Fishing Championship to date, earning a Team Bronze in 2023 (Canada) and most recently capturing Team Gold on home waters in Idaho (2025).

With over 25 years in the sport, from her early days she worked in a fly shop to becoming a licensed guide. Lindsay is known for her technical mastery and ability to bring out the best in anglers of all levels. She thrives on introducing beginners to the joy of fly fishing while helping advanced anglers refine techniques like trout Spey, steelhead fishing, euro-nymphing, and lake tactics.

A lifelong resident of Montana, Lindsay is deeply connected to the natural world and serves as a board member of the Clark’s Fork Yellowstone Partnership Watershed group, advocating for the preservation of the Beartooth region she calls home.

Whether she’s competing on the world stage or guiding someone to their first fish, Lindsay brings humility, skill, and heart to everything she does. She remains a cornerstone of the U.S. Women’s Team and an inspiring example of what it means to give back to both the sport and the ecosystems that sustain it.
