Katie was born in Houston, Texas and played collegiate golf at Penn State University, majoring in nutritional sciences. She went on to compete professionally on the LPGA tour for nine years where she met her wife, Christel Boeljon, who also played professionally.

After playing professionally, Katie coached collegiate golf at Penn State, James Madison University, and Emory University. At Emory, Katie and Christel started the first ever women’s golf program and within three years the team won the 2021 DIII National Championship with a four day team score that is the lowest in the championship’s history.

Christel and Katie now have an elite coaching business called Sticks Golf Team. They train junior golfers from all over the US and assist players with course management strategies, practice round and tournament round preparation, and proper practice habits.

Katie started fly fishing in 2014 but has only been fishing competitively for a year. Even though she is relatively new to competitive fly fishing, she has been an athlete her whole life and relishes finding something new she can pursue at a higher level. She is excited to grow and learn from an amazing group of women and help the team in any way possible.

Katie, Christel and their four cats live in Big Sky, MT and they are expecting the family’s first child in January 2025.
