Guy Bartels was born in West Palm Beach, FL. My grandfather was a commercial king fisherman in Riviera Beach, FL, and from the time that I could swim, I enjoyed every minute that I could go fishing. I love to fish for pelagics in South Florida, throughout the Keys, and the Bahamas. Tournament fishing is a passion, and the competition drives me to be a better fisherman, whether it be for blue marlin in the Pacific or largemouth bass on Lake Okeechobee. The fact that I get to fish with my family makes it even more special. Team Yellowfin has won quite a few tournaments, including three SKA events with more than 250 boats entered. I have also fished in the Offshore World Championship as an angler, where my wife brought home top angler overall and top female angler. It’s a great feeling to be part of this incredible achievement and be part of our team.
