Eric Harrison currently spends most of his free time fishing around Boston, Massachusetts. He is a lifelong fisherman and has been a hardcore kayak angler for more than 20 years. With a kayak on the roof of the car, he travels all over the Northeast targeting different species. Eric’s primary target is Striped bass and he has built a reputation for catching them on artificials—mostly big plastics. Despite Boston’s harsh winters, Eric kayak fishes year round and has caught a striped bass every month for the last ten years.

Eric is a true multispecies angler, in any week he can be found chasing saltwater fish like striped bass and cod as well as freshwater fish like bass, perch and crappies. His fishing rotation includes two Hobie kayaks, a dozen tackle boxes tucked into either a saltwater crate or a freshwater crate, and about 30 rods rigged in the basement ready to go fishing anywhere at a moments notice. Eric is looking forward to the multispecies challenge of the Spain tournament.

He has been a fixture at the major kayak fishing tournaments in New England and has first place finishes in the New England Kayak Fishing Striper Shootout, the Jamaica Bay Kayak Fishing Classic, and On The Water Magazine’s Striper Cup.
