Bill started fishing at a young age in midwestern lakes with his father. However, his passion truly ignited after moving Texas in 2010 and experiencing the allure of saltwater. Soon after, he bought his first kayak, and the rest is history. He frequents the Texas coast chasing redfish, speckled trout, and flounder and heads off shore every summer seeking king mackerel, cobia, and snapper. He has fished in Panama multiple times and met several other USA athletes that have also found their way to the team. His first place finish in the 2024 Rey Del Mar offshore tournament landed him the opportunity to fish for team USA.
