Ashley Wilmont grew up fishing in southeastern PA and began her competitive journey in Central PA. At Nationals in Basalt, Colorado, her team won gold, securing Ashley a spot at the first U.S. Women’s World Championship in Norway in 2022, where they placed fourth overall.

In 2023, Ashley competed in the second Women’s World Championship in British Columbia, where her team earned a bronze medal. In 2024, she participated in the Czech Republic’s championship, achieving a fourth-place team finish and an individual fourth-place ranking.

Later in 2024, Ashley attended Nationals in Idaho, where her team won silver. She was named the individual third-place finisher and the overall highest point holder, earning her a spot at the 2025 Worlds in Idaho, USA.

Outside of competition, Ashley teaches in the Joe Humphreys Fly Fishing Program at Penn State University and volunteers with Casting for Recovery Western PA and the Reel Girls program.
